Proud to be a woman in a trade like Jess

16 May 2018

Jess decided she wanted to be a mechanical fitter the first time she went to work with her dad.

Now, she’s a second year apprentice with Programmed, taking advantage of our training partnership with Woodside to work at Karratha Gas Plant.

She loves her work, and she’s even got her eye on a university degree in mechanical engineering.

Jess is proud to be a woman in a trade, for her it was a natural choice of career, and every day she’s demonstrating that gender shouldn’t be a barrier to choosing the right job for you.

Programmed and Woodside have been working together for more than 20 years, and are providing women with exciting career pathways both on and offshore.
