26 March 2019

If you’re looking to improve the health, safety and well-being in your workplace, we can help.

At Programmed, safety is at the forefront of everything we do. We live by the philosophy that all injuries are preventable.

Our Programmed Skilled Workforce HSE team are a dynamic and supportive crew made up of 27 passionate professionals who work with our operational teams and client stakeholders to ensure and improve the safety, health and wellbeing of our field employees and customers alike.

Here’s some recent examples of how we’ve helped customers and employees stay safe

Specialists across all areas of Health and Safety

Our specialist team have a broad range and depth of experience across multiple sectors that have proven to be invaluable in providing sound HSE advice and guidance to customers large and small.  Recently we’ve been working collaboratively and providing advice to a large manufacturing company on their newly developed Isolation and Lock Out Tag Out Procedures and supporting the implementation of the program through regular auditing of its application.

HSE Consulting Work

The PSW HSE team were engaged to facilitate the completion of invoiced Traffic Management Plans for a large Water Infrastructure Company as part of some construction and renovation works on site. The successful delivery of these plans have led to a partnership arrangement for the delivery of Permit Authorisation work for all contractor works on the clients owned assets.

PSW HSE can support a range of consulting activities including the development of safe systems of works, facilitation of risk assessments, delivery of training content, building inductions and on boarding programs and provide advice on a range of HSE related matters.

HSE Training

Did you know the HSE team as well as our Training Services team, have the capability to deliver certified Drug and Alcohol training to the branch network and to our customers? For our customers, we can offer this program at a competitive or reduced rate compared with standalone training providers.

Exercise Physiologist

A valued contributor to our HSE team is our dedicated Exercise Physiologist who actively works with our branch network ensuring the consistent delivery of our in-house functional assessment program STARTsafe. Extending beyond that, our Exercise Physiologist works with our customers performing manual handling risk assessments and recommending improvements, aligning musculoskeletal strategies with customers and facilitating targeted warm-up for work sessions with our field employees.

Regulatory Compliance

The scope of the service delivery by PSW carries across multiple industries and sectors and we pride ourselves on our ability to ensure we monitor and adapt our systems of work to the changing regulatory landscape.  The PSW HSE team are also supported by a dedicated HSE Systems Manager who directly supports the business by keeping up to date with workplace health and safety regulatory changes. For example, with the recent changes in Chain of Responsibility legislation, PSW responded to these changes accordingly updating our governance systems, training and on boarding content, workplace risk assessment templates and validation of these controls with our affected clients.
