All Programmed staff and specialist subcontractors receive comprehensive training and undergo site-specific inductions before attending a secure facility. We acknowledge the importance of providing security education and training to our employees, ensuring they understand the importance of protecting the assets, buildings and client personnel they are engaged with and the potential wide-reaching ramifications of any security breach. This includes the process of vetting and upskilling our staff so they can gain the relevant security clearances.

Our flexibility in planning, scheduling, and rostering around custodial and security services and situations is key to maintaining the availability and uptime of critical assets. We adapt our operations to meet the needs of secure facilities, ensuring that we can start early, finish late, or add smaller jobs to the start or end of the day as needed.

Maintaining a regular interface with the client and site operations is crucial to our success. We have an agreed governance program of meetings and clear reporting to ensure that we stay aligned with client operations and expectations.

National Presence in New Zealand

Programmed commenced New Zealand operations in 1986. Our national branch network operates throughout the North and South Islands on long-term contracts to serve public and private sector customers in the utilities, education, social housing, transport, manufacturing, and retail sectors. We are an established Tier One Facilities Management company and experienced provider of FM services for some of New Zealand’s key businesses and critical services, including Transpower, Chorus, Auckland Airport, and KiwiRail. 

Supporting Local Communities

We currently employ over 1,000 people across Aotearoa and engage with hundreds of supply partners every day to deliver safe and high-quality services. Spread over 43 locations, we maintain a tangible presence in local communities across New Zealand. Our presence, often in remote locations, supports local employment, and we endeavour to support Tanga Te Whenua with involvement in local communities.
