Project Description

To give students in the Halls of Residence a pleasant experience while living away from home, the University of Waikato undertook a complete full exterior repaint of three Halls of Residences – College Hall, Bryant Hall and the Student Village. The University needed the repaint, part of its five-year refurbishment programme, to be conducted by a company able to complete the work to the highest standard, within budget and schedule. Utmost respect for the health and safety of staff, students and visitors were crucial.

Project Solution

After careful consideration for attributes critical to a project of this nature, Programmed were awarded the contract based on our total solution that combined experience, capability, safety and value. Working closely with the University’s Facilities Management team to ensure completion within the project’s tight timeframe, we devised a schedule of works around campus activities to minimise disruptions. The Halls all received a full repaint and annual preventative maintenance will keep them looking good while allowing the University to spread costs.

Project Outcome

All 3 Halls of Residence now have a fresh, clean look that the resident students are proud to call home. Each has been finished to a high standard that the University know Programmed will continue to carefully maintain going forward.
