GPC Asia Pacific is the largest automotive aftermarket parts supplier in Australia and New Zealand. They are an iconic company in New Zealand that resell and distribute automotive replacement parts, accessories, and related tools and equipment through a network of more than 90 retail stores across the country.
Managing more than 90 stores comes with its challenges. GPC Asia Pacific needs to keep the continuity of the stores across the country and keep up with the ongoing routine maintenance and repairs of the exterior and interior of the stores.
In 2018, GPC Asia Pacific decided to rebrand, which required all stores to undergo a new paint and signage. They needed a company on board that could combat these challenges and complete the rebrand successfully. Flexible and strict safety policies were paramount, a large geographical footprint and experience were a must-have, and a company that could seamlessly put together and manufacture all signage visualisations and installations.
Project Solution
Programmed has had an established relationship with GPC Asia Pacific for more than 15 years and prides itself on providing end-to-end safe maintenance solutions. Utilising the extensive experience of its operations team, Programmed was able to provide GPC Asia Pacific with on-call routine maintenance and repairs work, rebrand and paint the interior and exterior of their buildings, and manufacture and install all signage for their sites. Programmed managed the project from start to finish and have completed 63 sites thus far. With the help of expert painters and a strict, Zero Harm policy, Programmed implemented an attractive and safe program. Programmed provided a one point of contact system, have their own corporate imaging division, a good database of existing GPC Asia Pacific sites, historical information of all sites, a national footprint with physical branches across New Zealand, and did not need to have subcontracts do the work; this made the proposal appealing and seamless for GPC Asia Pacific.

Programmed has given GPC Asia Pacific retail stores a fresh, visually appealing rebrand that has made them stand out. The team at Programmed provided a one point of contact system, which was a seamless method that resulted in cost savings for GPC Asia Pacific. All Programmed staff provided quick and efficient services due to the nature of having people on the ground, working across all sites.
