Leading the Charge – Programmed’s Clean Power Innovation on Site

9 September 2025

At Programmed, we’re always asking the same question: How can we deliver smarter, safer and more sustainable outcomes for our clients and our teams?

One of the answers came in the form of a recent site power trial, not a product demo, but a proof of what’s possible when we challenge business as usual.

A Quieter Way Forward

Construction sites have traditionally relied on diesel generators, known for their noise, emissions, and maintenance overhead. But the world has changed. So have expectations.

On a recent project, our team trialled a battery powered site unit as part of our broader innovation roadmap. The result? Two full days of uninterrupted power for heavy duty tools like table saws and routers, without fuel, fumes or frustration.

For us, it’s not about the battery. It’s about what it means.

  • Quieter, cleaner environments for communities
  • Safer, simpler setups for our workers
  • More efficient, lower-cost operations for our clients

“This isn’t just about power. It’s about how we run sites going forward — cleaner, quieter and more efficient. That’s the future, ” says Programmed Facility Management Project Manager, Malcolm Maciver.

From local infrastructure to major projects, we’re continuously looking for ways to deliver more with less impact.

For us, innovation isn’t a buzzword. It’s practical. Measurable. Shared.

Whether it’s energy, safety or workforce planning, we’re exploring every opportunity to work smarter and help shape a more sustainable future.
