Programmed Facility Management successfully delivered a roof replacement for Chorus at the Waiouru UAX site located within the Waiouru Military Camp Village, completing the works within a tightly controlled two day programme while maintaining uninterrupted operations across the surrounding Defence Force environment.
The site sits within a highly sensitive operational area surrounded by NZ Defence Force facilities, commercial services and critical network infrastructure. Delivery required careful planning, strict access control and close coordination to ensure all activity was safely managed within a live military precinct.
Throughout the project, works were carefully sequenced to avoid any disruption to nearby Defence Force operations, including adjacent barracks and restricted zones. All activity remained fully contained within the designated work area, supported by clear communication and strong site controls.
Despite the compressed timeframe, the roof replacement was completed to a high standard with a strong focus on safety, efficiency and site presentation. Materials and waste were promptly removed on completion, leaving the site clean, compliant and ready for handover.
This successful outcome supports the ongoing reliability of Chorus infrastructure in the region and reflects Programmed’s capability to deliver essential maintenance services within complex and highly controlled environments. Delivered during Programmed’s 75th milestone year, the project reinforces a long standing commitment to critical infrastructure across New Zealand and Australia.
