At Programmed, we are proud to maintain sites that honour the service and sacrifice of military personnel and civilians affected by war. Our work spans heritage-listed memorials, war cemeteries, and gardens of remembrance, ensuring each site is respectfully preserved and beautifully presented. Below are some of our key projects.
Project Snapshot #1: Adelaide River War Memorial – Department of Veteran Affairs
Programmed has a long-standing history maintaining the open spaces at the Adelaide River War Memorial, keeping the gardens pristine and graves meticulously cared for.
Services Provided
Our open space maintenance team carried out landscape maintenance at the Adelaide River War Memorial under a multi-year contract. This Commonwealth Heritage-listed site honours civilians killed in the bombing of Darwin, as well as military personnel who lost their lives in World War II and in Timor.
Building on this work, in mid-2022 we were also awarded the open space maintenance contract for the Garden of Remembrance at the Thorak Regional Cemetery.
Project Snapshot #2: Veteran Affairs – War Graves Network
Programmed has been partnering with Veteran Affairs for five years, maintaining open space and gardens across multiple war grave sites.
Services Provided
We provide landscape, garden, and lawn maintenance to five Veteran Affairs sites at Lutwyche, Ipswich, Toowoomba, Kingaroy, and Woombye War Cemeteries. Our services include turf renovations and rose garden care to ensure these sites are beautifully presented year-round.
Key Value Adds
- Uniform cemetery maintenance standards across all five sites.
- Broad geographic coverage, including regional and remote locations.
- Strict safety measures to protect both staff and visitors.
- Single point of contact for seamless project communication and management.
Project Snapshot #3: Hobart War Graves
Our team takes pride in maintaining the Hobart War Graves, ensuring the site is a peaceful, respectful place for visitors.
Services Provided
Programmed Property Services provides comprehensive open space and civil maintenance, including:
- Mowing and turf renovation
- Landscape and garden upkeep
- Rubbish and debris removal
This work preserves the beauty and dignity of the site throughout the year. For our Hobart Branch Manager, Mark Potter, this project holds special significance, as he has personal connections to the graves and has been visiting his grandfather’s plaque with his family for many years.
